Flint Firebirds acquires Brantford Bulldogs

The Flint Firebirds have secured the services of defenseman Jude Bray from the Brantford Bulldogs in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The acquisition involves Flint sending a fourth-round pick in the 2027 OHL Priority Selection draft in exchange. Jude Bray, originally picked by the Kitchener Rangers in the 10th round of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, has a diverse playing history. Before joining Brantford, Bray was traded from Kitchener in June 2025 and subsequently signed by the Bulldogs in August of the same year. Although Bray did not play in the regular season for Brantford, he participated in two preseason games before reverting to his team in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), the Sherwood Park Crusaders. In the current BCHL season, Bray has tallied four goals and nine assists over 17 games, following a previous season where he recorded two goals and 20 assists in 50 appearances.

Flint's acquisition of Bray is geared towards enhancing their defensive depth.
