NTT Data Group acquires WinWire

NTT DATA has announced an agreement to acquire WinWire, aiming to bolster its enterprise AI strategy and expand its capabilities in AI and Microsoft cloud services. WinWire, a specialist in agentic AI, AI on Azure, and cloud-native development, brings over 1,000 Azure engineers and AI experts to NTT DATA's operations. This acquisition seeks to align with the increasing demand for AI-driven, cloud-native solutions as companies move from AI experimentation to full-scale deployments.

Although financial terms were not disclosed, the acquisition will enhance NTT DATA’s Microsoft-focused offerings by adding WinWire's expertise in areas like Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry. The deal will specifically strengthen NTT DATA's integration with the Microsoft ecosystem, building upon its recent accolades, including being named Microsoft's Global System Integrator Growth Champion Partner of the Year. Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, WinWire also operates multiple delivery centers in India and has been recognized with several Microsoft Partner of the Year awards.

The strategic rationale for the acquisition rests on NTT DATA's aim to lever WinWire’s advanced competencies to satisfy the evolving needs of enterprise clients who are increasingly seeking to implement AI solutions at scale.
