Hoskin Group, backed by River Associates Investments, has acquired Westech Industrial, a move aimed at bolstering its capabilities in the industrial instrumentation and process solutions sector in Canada. The transaction, which concluded on January 30, 2026, marks a strategic expansion of Hoskin’s footprint in the Canadian market through enhanced service offerings and geographic reach. Westech Industrial, based in Calgary, has been a fixture in the Canadian industrial landscape for over 60 years, offering a range of products including analytical instruments, flame and gas detection systems, and customized process technologies. With five operational locations across the country, Westech serves a diverse clientele in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and municipal utilities. Its extensive supplier relationships and technical proficiency are poised to enhance Hoskin Group’s portfolio.
Justin Warren, CEO of Hoskin Group, emphasized that Westech’s capabilities align seamlessly with Hoskin’s existing operations under its Avensys and CTH banners. This acquisition, alongside the recent incorporation of Davis Controls, is intended to forge a cohesive industrial instrumentation platform with national reach.
