Kipu Health acquires Team Recovery Technologies

Kipu Health, a behavioral health software company headquartered in Miami, has completed its most substantial acquisition to date. On April 16, Kipu announced the acquisition of Team Recovery Technologies, a firm providing patient engagement and alumni program software, as well as consultancy services to behavioral health providers. The financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, making it notable as the company's largest deal by purchase price.

Founded in 2021 in Draper, Utah, Team Recovery Technologies originated from the alumni program of Renaissance Ranch Treatment Centers. This acquisition strengthens the long-standing relationship between Kipu Health and Renaissance Ranch, which has been a significant client for Kipu. Team Recovery Technologies serves approximately 125 customers, with 75% already utilizing Kipu Health's offerings. The integration aims to consolidate services, enabling Kipu to enhance customer experiences and maintain tighter control over product development and quality.

Kipu Health's CEO, Carina Edwards, emphasized the strategic value of acquiring Team Recovery's expertise in alumni program management. By fully integrating these capabilities, Kipu aims to advance its software solutions designed for addiction treatment centers, mental health facilities, eating disorder clinics, and opioid treatment programs. Edwards highlighted that the deal would facilitate scaling Team Recovery's capabilities and allow for additional development to enhance patient engagement solutions.
