Intermountain Health acquires Steinberg Diagnostic

Intermountain Health has completed the acquisition of Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI), extending its reach in the radiology sector across southern Nevada. SDMI, a prominent outpatient radiology provider with 12 locations in the Las Vegas Valley, will enhance Intermountain's integrated healthcare services platform, increasing access and coordination of care for local patients. Intermountain Health's acquisition of SDMI marks a strategic expansion in its healthcare offerings within the region. With SDMI's extensive footprint and expertise, including accreditations as a Breast Imaging Center and a Lung Cancer Screening Center by the American College of Radiology, Intermountain aims to offer more cohesive and streamlined services. Scott Stevens, MD, Intermountain’s Desert Region Chief Medical Officer, emphasized the acquisition's potential to provide a "seamless, person-centered approach" to patient care.

For SDMI, this acquisition provides an opportunity to leverage Intermountain’s broad service network in enhancing its current offerings. Founded in 1988, SDMI has maintained a notable standing with its certified professionals in subspecialized areas such as neuroradiology and women’s imaging, among others. Mark Winkler, MD, SDMI's founding partner, noted the shared mission with Intermountain to deliver proactive and personalized healthcare, underscoring the alignment in organizational goals.
