Pivot Technologies SAS raises $40M in Series B
Pivot Technologies SAS, an AI-driven procurement platform company, has secured $40 million in a Series B funding round led by Forestay Capital, with additional contributions from Notion Capital, Greyhound, and others including the former global VP of sales at Ariba. This funding elevates Pivot's total capital raised to $70 million since its inception in 2023. The investment is aimed at enhancing the company's agentic AI capabilities and expanding its reach within enterprise markets.
Pivot operates as an "AI operating system" for procurement, integrating processes such as sourcing, approvals, purchasing, invoicing, payments, and budgets in one platform. It claims to handle $3 billion in invoices annually across more than 25 countries. The company's approach addresses the persistent inefficiencies in procurement, a function that often remains manually driven and fragmented, leading to delayed financial visibility and budget problems.
Traditional procurement suites, while long-standing, have struggled with cumbersome implementations and rigid structures. Newer tools have improved user experience but have not fully resolved data integration challenges. Pivot's platform promises to address these issues by rebuilding procurement records from the ground up, allowing for true agentic workflows. It offers real-time ERP integration and customizable automation for vendor management and financial operations.
Key clients include DoorDash Inc., which integrates Pivot's platform with its existing systems for operations like vendor onboarding in Europe. According to Gordon Lee, DoorDash's chief accounting officer, Pivot's platform meets complex operational needs and integrates effectively with existing infrastructure, underscoring its potential to streamline and automate procurement workflows.
The new funds will focus on advancing the platform’s AI tools, pursuing entry into newer markets, and enhancing ERP and financial system integrations. As Pivot continues to scale, it aims to address the foundational challenges of procurement with technology that provides finance and procurement leaders with real-time visibility into expenditure commitments, potentially reducing financial discrepancies and enhancing operational efficiency.
