Narasimhan Consulting Services acquires LightPoint Engineering
NCS Engineers has acquired LightPoint Engineering, LLC and SpearPoint Engineering, LLC, two Houston-based infrastructure engineering firms, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition supports NCS Engineers' strategic expansion in the Texas market, a region experiencing significant growth in infrastructure development.
LightPoint and SpearPoint, both established over nearly a decade, are known for their expertise in water and wastewater systems, storm water management, and roadway design. This acquisition is expected to enhance NCS's service offerings by integrating the acquired firms' capabilities in advanced water and wastewater treatment and electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Ram Narasimhan, CEO of NCS Engineers, highlighted that the integration of these firms would bolster the company's innovative solutions and amplify its presence in Texas.
For LightPoint Engineering, the transaction is an opportunity to access broader resources while maintaining a client-centric focus. According to President Mike Mathena, joining NCS provides access to advanced technical expertise and resources that would enhance service delivery. Similarly, Jerry McCrorey, President of SpearPoint Engineering, noted that NCS’s shared values and expertise would allow them to offer more comprehensive solutions and career growth opportunities for their employees.
NCS Engineers, with over 26 years in the sector, has steadily grown its footprint across the United States, focusing on infrastructure design and regulatory compliance. By targeting acquisitions like LightPoint and SpearPoint, NCS aims to cement its role as a key player in the water and wastewater engineering field, particularly in high-growth markets such as Texas.
Looking ahead, the integration of these firms into NCS will focus on maximizing their combined skill sets and client networks. While specific terms remain undisclosed, the successful merger will likely set a precedent for NCS's future expansion strategies in other competitive regions.
