Kinoa Labs Ltd. raises $10M
Kinoa Labs Ltd., a startup specializing in AI-native software for mobile app revenue operations, has secured $10 million in a funding round led by Transcend Fund with participation from Sisu Game Ventures. The funding will bolster Kinoa's efforts to enhance its platform, which provides app developers with tools to better engage and monetize users.
The funds come as Kinoa seeks to address challenges in the mobile application market, particularly the rising user acquisition costs and decreased targeting efficiency. Kinoa's platform uses autonomous AI agents to convert user data into actionable insights, helping apps anticipate user behavior and personalize interactions for increased retention and monetization. Elias Sandler, Kinoa's CEO, emphasized the utility of their platform in reversing revenue declines observed in 78% of the top 1,000 mobile games over the past year. By employing what Sandler describes as "predictive superpowers," Kinoa empowers a single operator to efficiently manage tasks traditionally requiring larger teams.
The company claims that its AI-driven solutions can boost average revenue by approximately 25%. This performance is reportedly already benefiting several major developers, including Playstudios Inc. and Playsimple Games Ltd. Or Reznitsky, a game manager at Playstudios, highlighted significant revenue gains achieved through Kinoa—an increase in payer conversion by 46% and total revenue uplift by 31% shortly after deployment.
Kinoa's focus extends beyond gaming apps. While the company initially targeted the gaming sector due to its advanced operational complexity, it is expanding its predictive capabilities to a broader range of applications, including entertainment, streaming, and educational platforms. According to Transcend Fund's Managing Director Andrew Sheppard, the move towards AI-driven operations is gaining momentum as it helps companies utilize their user data more effectively.
The funding will be used to further develop Kinoa's predictive models, enhancing their automation capabilities to streamline mobile app operations further. As Kinoa scales its offerings, its capacity to revolutionize app monetization strategies could set a precedent in live operations infrastructure, fostering a shift from traditionally manual workflows towards more intelligent, automated solutions.
