A&B Business Solutions acquires JD Young

A&B Business Solutions, headquartered in Sioux Falls, has acquired a 50% ownership stake in JD Young Technologies, an Oklahoma-based firm specializing in office technology and workplace services. This transaction marks a significant territorial expansion for A&B into markets such as Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

JD Young Technologies, established in 1949, is a multigenerational family business. The acquisition culminates more than two years of detailed planning and discussions, underscoring the strategic fit between the two companies. Dennis Aanenson, president of A&B Business Solutions, emphasized the alignment of values and cultures, stating that JD Young is an ideal partner to enhance both organizations' customer offerings and market presence.

The partnership is intended to be seamless for existing customers. Both companies have declared there will be no immediate changes to current customer relationships, contracts, or service teams. Instead, the collaboration aims to provide enhanced support through shared expertise and resources. Robert Stuart, CEO of JD Young Technologies, noted the longstanding friendship of over 25 years between the ownership teams, asserting that the partnership will enable both companies to expand capabilities while maintaining their local, family-owned stature.
