CMA CGM Global Business Services (India acquires Fattal Group

CMA CGM Group, a major player in the logistics and maritime transport industry, has confirmed its acquisition of the Lebanon-based Fattal Group. The full acquisition entails CMA CGM taking over 100% of the family-owned Fattal Group, a transaction pending regulatory approval anticipated to conclude by the third quarter of 2026. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of CMA CGM, articulated the strategic significance of the acquisition, emphasizing the integration of Fattal’s distribution platform as a critical enhancement to CMA CGM's capabilities. The acquisition aims to bolster CMA CGM’s logistics operations closer to end consumers, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This move is also viewed as a confidence booster for Lebanon's economic landscape, indicating CMA CGM’s commitment to the region’s long-term development.

Caroline Fattal, President of the Fattal Group, noted that the sale marks a pivotal transition for the company, ceasing over 130 years of family management.
