Devplan Inc. raises $2.5M in Seed
Devplan Inc. has secured $2.5 million in seed funding to develop an intelligence layer aimed at enhancing product development processes. The funding round was led by AI2 Incubator, with participation from Acequia Capital, Mighty Capital, Grand Ventures, and eLab Ventures. This financial backing marks Devplan's emergence from stealth mode and positions the company to tackle inefficiencies in AI-assisted software development coordination.
Founded in 2025, Devplan addresses the challenge of coordination in AI-driven product development. The company's platform utilizes a "product intelligence engine" that integrates with several widely-used tools such as GitHub, Jira, Slack, and Notion. This integration creates a shared knowledge graph that aims to streamline processes by reducing the complexity and time spent on coordination tasks. Devplan highlights that Fortune 500 companies annually lose $161 billion due to such fragmentation, citing the Atlassian State of Teams 2026 report.
With significant experience in leading product and engineering teams, co-founder and CEO Chris Bee identifies the inefficiencies that come from excessive coordination overhead. According to Bee, current coordination practices consume a large portion of work weeks without yielding direct customer-facing benefits. Devplan's early user surveys indicate they manage to save about eight hours per week on coordination work using the platform, and internal benchmarks demonstrate improved performance and cost efficiency—reducing query times and costs significantly compared to traditional methods.
In the product development coordination space, Devplan faces competition from established players like Atlassian Corp. and newer entrants like Snowflake Inc. and GitHub Copilot, each bringing various coordination and AI capabilities to the table. Yet, Devplan aims to differentiate itself by focusing on product management's need for an integrated ecosystem that enhances visibility and productivity—areas that have traditionally lagged behind AI-driven code enhancements.
With the new funding, Devplan plans to bolster its engineering and market penetration efforts. The company is also seeking partnerships with organizations looking to integrate AI comprehensively into their operations. As it prepares to scale, Devplan's strategic focus will be on extending its footprint within sectors where coordinated intelligence can unlock significant efficiencies.
