Zeeco acquires Devco Process Heaters

Zeeco, a combustion and environmental solutions provider based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has acquired Devco Process Heaters. The move is designed to bolster Zeeco's capabilities in the U.S. midstream oil and gas sector. The transaction, concluded on December 5, 2025, involves the transfer of Devco’s brand, its product lineup, and technical expertise to Zeeco.

While financial details remain undisclosed, the acquisition incorporates all former Devco employees, including its owner Jeff Hutsell, into Zeeco in new and expanded capacities. Founded in 2005, Devco has a storied history in designing and manufacturing direct and indirect fired heaters, along with thermal oxidizers and electric heater packages. Its equipment is utilized across midstream operations and other industrial segments worldwide.

Zeeco aims to leverage this acquisition to enhance its role as a single-source provider of combustion equipment and related services, spanning installation, field service, construction, and aftermarket support. The deal is expected to expedite delivery timelines and offer more cost-efficient, end-to-end combustion solutions, utilizing Zeeco's company-owned manufacturing facilities. President and CEO Darton Zink emphasized that the acquisition strengthens Zeeco’s mission of offering efficient and reliable solutions to its clientele.

In a competitive heating equipment manufacturing sector, this acquisition could potentially reposition Zeeco as a more comprehensive player with a broadened product portfolio, now including process heaters. This strategic expansion aligns with its ongoing projects in refining, petrochemical, LNG, and other industries. It also underscores heightened interest in the midstream market, where such capabilities enhance operational efficiency and value delivery.
