Wolter acquires CSI Materials Handling

Wolter Inc., a provider of material handling and industrial storage solutions, has acquired CSI Materials Handling, a company specializing in pallet racking and engineered storage systems based in Downers Grove, Illinois. The acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, aims to bolster Wolter's footprint in the Chicago market, a strategic move aligned with the expanding demand for warehouse capacity in the region.

CSI Materials Handling, founded in 1969, brings over five decades of expertise in engineered racking systems, including pallet rack, high-density storage, shelving, mezzanines, modular offices, and security fencing. Post-acquisition, CSI will maintain its operations in Downers Grove, and its entire team will integrate into Wolter's storage and handling business group, reinforcing Wolter's capabilities with seasoned engineering and installation proficiency.

The acquisition allows Wolter to deliver comprehensive warehouse solutions, ranging from equipment and layout design to storage systems and installation services, thereby catering to the logistical and distribution needs in the Chicago area. CEO of Wolter Inc., Jerry Weidmann, highlighted that the additional engineering and installation capabilities of CSI would help "customers move faster from design to execution," ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.
