Advantage Distribution Holdings acquires CFM Distributors

Advantage Distribution Holdings (ADH) has acquired cfm Distributors Inc., a well-regarded distributor of HVACR equipment based in Kansas City, Missouri, for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition expands ADH’s operational reach, adding cfm’s locations in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska to its growing network, now totaling 13 locations across six states in the Southeast and Midwest.

cfm Distributors, established in 1969, is recognized for its substantial contractor relationships and commitment to service, notably as one of the longest-standing distributors of York-brand products. Under the leadership of CEO and President Lauren Roberts, who is also the chairwoman of Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI), cfm maintained a legacy of emphasizing employee relations and strong customer service. The acquisition includes a notable feature in that all cfm employees will now receive equity participation in ADH, aligning with ADH's focus on shared ownership and maintaining an independent distributor ethos.

For ADH, this acquisition is consistent with its strategy to partner with founder- and family-led distributors, thereby creating a platform that respects the independence of these businesses. The move follows a similar partnership strategy previously seen with CTC Supply, supporting independents within the industry while ensuring continuity and long-term investment in personnel and customer relationships. ADH CEO, Clay Holder, highlighted the alignment of cfm's values with ADH's mission, underscoring the emphasis on maintaining high service levels and industry advancement under Roberts’ leadership.
