Tecta America acquires Big Horn Roofing

Tecta America, one of the nation's largest commercial roofing contractors, has acquired Big Horn Roofing, a Wyoming-based contractor, for an undisclosed sum. This move marks Tecta's strategic expansion into the Mountain West region, broadening its geographical presence with its second acquisition of 2026.

Founded in 1986, Big Horn Roofing operates out of Laramie, Wyoming, with additional locations in Cody and Casper. The company specializes in commercial re-roofing, new construction, and maintenance services throughout the state. Tecta America’s purchase aligns with its overarching strategy to deepen market reach through strategic partnerships with well-established local businesses. The acquisition is described as a mutually beneficial alignment of values and business philosophies.

Dave Reginelli, CEO of Tecta America, emphasized the synergy between the two companies. "We have been looking to establish a presence in Wyoming for many years and found an outstanding partner in Big Horn," he stated. The acquisition strategy focuses on maintaining the existing leadership and operational framework of acquired companies while bolstering them with Tecta’s substantial financial and operational resources. Big Horn Roofing will continue to operate under its own brand, led by current president Jason Smallwood, alongside the existing leadership team.
