Axiom GRC acquires AssurancePoint
Axiom GRC, headquartered in London, has acquired AssurancePoint, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in SOC and ISO audit services tailored to mid-sized organizations. The acquisition aims to bolster Axiom's foothold in the North American cyber compliance sector by enhancing its audit capabilities and expanding its service delivery in the U.S. Terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.
AssurancePoint will be integrated with IS Partners, Axiom GRC’s U.S. platform that focuses on IT compliance and risk advisory services. Axiom plans to leverage AssurancePoint's technology-enabled audit model, known for its recurring engagements, across its existing operations. This integration is expected to strengthen Axiom's audit and assurance services and facilitate the delivery of a more comprehensive compliance solution that brings together advisory services, software tools, and audit execution.
The acquisition is Axiom’s second in the U.S., aligning with its strategy to capitalize on the increasing compliance requirements in cybersecurity, data privacy, and various industry standards. The company aims to build an integrated compliance platform that caters to both mid-market firms and larger enterprises, extending its reach across multiple compliance domains.
Axiom GRC, which serves more than 30,000 clients worldwide, is supported by over 1,500 specialists across the UK, U.S., Europe, and Israel. The firm offers more than 50 compliance products and caters to an estimated 2 million users globally. Through its subsidiary, IS Partners, Axiom has been guiding clients across industries such as software, healthcare, fintech, and defense through complex security and compliance requirements.
Looking ahead, the acquisition will focus on integrating AssurancePoint's model into Axiom's broader strategic plans within the U.S. The pathway to cementing AssurancePoint’s methodologies and clientele into Axiom’s framework will be crucial for realizing their stated goals of delivering a unified governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform. The combined resources are intended to enhance service levels and broader client capabilities, potentially influencing market dynamics and competitive positioning in the IT assurance sector.
