LGMS acquires Antarex Holdings Sdn Bhd
LGMS Berhad has completed the acquisition of a 27% stake in the cybersecurity firm Antarex Holdings Sdn Bhd, marking a significant push towards enhancing its regional capabilities. The transaction, valued at MYR 22.68 million ($5.66 million), has been financed entirely from LGMS's internal cash reserves.
This acquisition is poised to deepen the collaboration between the two companies, aligning their goals to deliver AI-powered cybersecurity solutions throughout Southeast Asia. LGMS's chairman, Fong Choong Fook, emphasized that the investment bolsters the company's regional growth strategy and facilitates a stronger integration of LGMS’s StarSentry platform with Antarex’s cyber defense offerings, which include Managed XNI, DarkShield, and Managed XOC+.
The strategic purchase reflects LGMS's intention to enhance its managed cybersecurity services by tapping into Antarex’s technologies. This includes maximizing the capabilities of Antarex’s Managed XOC+ platform to expand LGMS’s Security Operations Center-as-a-Service. The integration will enable round-the-clock threat monitoring and provide automated responses for its clientele across the region.
