Ignite Medical Resorts acquires AHSNF, Inc.

Ignite Medical Resorts has expanded its footprint into North Carolina by acquiring four skilled nursing facilities in the Charlotte area from AHSNF, Inc., a nonprofit tied to Atrium Health. Although financial details were not disclosed, the acquisition marks Ignite's entrance into a seventh state, increasing its operational facilities to 32 locations employing over 5,000 staff members.

This strategic acquisition forms part of an extensive plan managed by Senwell Senior Investment Advisors. The newly acquired properties will integrate into Atrium Health’s Post Acute Network Skilled Nursing Facility program, underscoring an emphasis on seamless transitions from hospital to home care. Ignite CEO Tim Fields emphasized plans for significant renovations and investment in innovative care technologies aimed at enhancing the patient experience for both short-term rehabilitation guests and long-term care residents.

The acquisition aligns with a shared goal between Ignite and Atrium Health to improve services for patients and families. Michael Stolzenbach, a vice president at Atrium Health, highlighted the partnership's role in advancing high-quality, coordinated post-acute care across the Charlotte region.
