Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired AAA Fire Extinguisher Co., a Lubbock-based fire protection services provider, to bolster its fire suppression and life safety capabilities in West Texas. This strategic acquisition aligns with Pye-Barker's objective to enhance its service offerings in the region's fire protection and safety sector.

The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed. AAA Fire Extinguisher Co., known locally as AFA, Inc., specializes in maintaining and inspecting portable fire extinguishers, fire suppression, and kitchen hood systems. Their expertise in servicing restaurants, schools, and commercial kitchens adds a new dimension to Pye-Barker’s existing operations, which have primarily focused on fire alarm and security services in West Texas.

Lawrence Fithen, AAA’s owner, highlighted the company’s commitment to its local clientele as a key driver for the acquisition. Fithen believes that joining Pye-Barker will enable the Lubbock firm to offer more comprehensive services. Bart Proctor, a representative from Pye-Barker, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the alignment of AAA’s customer-focused approach and mission-driven ethos with Pye-Barker’s corporate strategy.
