Zenity Ltd., an Israeli AI security startup, has secured $125 million in a Series C funding round led by Norwest. The financing round, which also saw contributions from SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Qumra Capital, and a host of other investors including Hitachi Ventures and Intel Capital, brings the company's total fundraising to $185 million. This latest capital influx aims to bolster Zenity's development of security solutions for AI agents used across large-scale global enterprises.

Zenity focuses on securing autonomous AI agents that increasingly handle critical business functions in production environments. Unlike traditional AI security solutions that protect against manipulation of AI models or prompt layers, Zenity's platform addresses the broader vulnerability surfaces these agents introduce. The technology continuously monitors AI agents, ensuring they operate within predetermined organizational policies and permissions. It is designed to distinguish between legitimate operations and potentially harmful actions, offering the ability to dynamically approve, modify, or block agent actions in real time.

The strategic relevance of this funding round underscores the accelerating deployment of AI agents beyond experimental stages to integral parts of business operations. According to Zenity's co-founder and CEO, Ben Kliger, the adoption rate of AI agents is rapidly increasing, necessitating robust security mechanisms. "Every organization is deploying off-the-shelf AI agents or developing its own," Kliger noted. "Securing those agents and the actions they perform is becoming critical to successful AI adoption."

This move is indicative of a broader maturation within the AI sector, where investment is expanding into critical adjuncts such as security. Holger Mueller, an analyst at Constellation Research, highlighted the critical role of such investments in enabling enterprise-scale AI deployments. As enterprises express cautious optimism about mass-deploying AI agents, robust security measures may alleviate concerns about potential operational and security risks.

The additional capital will enable Zenity to further develop its platform's capabilities to monitor and secure AI agents embedded in various third-party systems and environments. Among supported platforms are Google LLC’s Gemini, OpenAI's ChatGPT Enterprise, and Microsoft Copilot. The company will be keenly watched to see how its solutions can address emergent security challenges as AI agents become more prevalent in enterprise settings.
