Wealthspire Acquires Fi3 Advisors for $1.2B
Wealthspire has agreed to acquire the Indianapolis-based boutique advisory firm Fi3 Advisors, which manages $1.2 billion in assets. This move enhances Wealthspire's presence in Indianapolis and strengthens its family office capabilities, following the launch of Wealthspire Family Office earlier this year. The acquisition, alongside a recent deal involving Axia Advisory, brings Wealthspire's total assets under management or advisement in Indianapolis to approximately $3 billion.
Fi3 Advisors will continue to operate under the management of its current leadership team, including managing partner Ivan Hoffman and partners Matt Simpson and Sam Muse. Their collaboration with Wealthspire will provide clients with expanded financial planning and investment resources, as well as broader access to specialized expertise. Wealthspire's Family Office capabilities offer services such as advanced tax and estate planning, lifestyle management, family office accounting, and trust services, aimed at serving multi-generational families.
The acquisition underscores Wealthspire's strategic objective of enhancing its service offering to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. Wealthspire's CEO, Mike LaMena, highlighted the alignment in client service philosophy between the two firms, emphasizing the combination of personalized client guidance with necessary resources for managing complex needs. Fi3's managing partner, Ivan Hoffman, expressed confidence that clients would benefit from Wealthspire's comprehensive resources while maintaining the bespoke service they expect.
Wealthspire serves a diverse clientele, including individuals, families, endowments, and institutions, with over 1,200 employees spread across more than 40 offices in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The firm's comprehensive platform encompasses wealth management, institutional consulting, business management, family office services, and retirement plan advisories, underscoring its robust market position.
Looking ahead, the integration of Fi3 Advisors is likely to solidify Wealthspire's foothold in the wealth management sector, particularly in Indianapolis. While the existing leadership at Fi3 remains intact, the combined assets and resources could drive further growth. Any regulatory hurdles or conditions for the completion of the acquisition have yet to be disclosed, but the transaction reflects Wealthspire's commitment to expanding its reach and enhancing its service offerings in key markets.
This transaction is classified in wealth management with a reported deal value of $1.2B. Figures and status may change as sources update.
