Sereact GmbH, a German robotics firm, has secured $110 million in a Series B funding round led by Headline VC. This capital injection is intended to scale their AI "robotic brain" platform and support expansion into the U.S. market. Sereact, established in 2021 by Ralf Gulde and Marc Tuscher, aims to revolutionize industrial and warehouse robotics with software capable of interpreting natural language and executing physical tasks without requiring explicit programming.

The company's Cortex platform underpins this ambition by allowing robots to self-manage and adapt through advanced vision-language-action models. Cortex 2.0 enhances this technology by incorporating a world model, enabling robots to simulate potential actions and assess them for stability, risk, and efficiency prior to execution. Sereact's distinctive approach offers a competitive edge over rivals such as Physical Intelligence Inc. and Covariant AI Inc., who primarily depend on end-to-end models.

The latest funding round saw participation from investors including Bullhound Capital, Felix Capital Partners, Daphni SAS, Creandum AB, Air Street Capital Ltd., and Point Nine Capital GmbH. Trevor Neff, growth partner at Headline VC, expressed confidence in Sereact's growth trajectory, highlighting the transformative potential of physical AI in global supply chains and manufacturing. "We believe it will rewire global supply chains and manufacturing," Neff stated, emphasizing the progressive nature of Sereact's approach.

Sereact has already established its presence in Europe, deploying over 200 systems with clients such as BMW, Daimler Truck, and PepsiCo. The company reports over 1 billion production picks executed with minimal human intervention, marking its software's reliability and efficiency. With ambitions to enter the U.S. market, Sereact plans to open a Boston office, focusing on hiring commercial, application, and engineering professionals to drive their American expansion strategy.

This fundraising effort elevates Sereact's total capital raised to over $140 million, underscoring investor confidence amidst a competitive robotics landscape. As Sereact sets its sights on U.S. operations, key milestones include establishing a foothold in North America and further refining the capabilities of their Cortex software. The move signifies a pivotal step in Sereact's journey to harness AI advancements for practical, scalable industrial applications.
