BayPine Capital acquires Relation
BayPine, a private investment firm, is set to acquire Relation Insurance Services, a significant US independent insurance broker, from Aquiline Capital Partners LP. The transaction amount remains undisclosed. Relation's current leadership, including CEO Tim Hall, will continue to steer the firm post-acquisition. Relation, established in 2007, is recognized as one of the largest independent insurance brokers in the United States. The company operates over 90 offices nationwide, serving a client base of more than 230,000 across various sectors, including construction, healthcare, and real estate. Michael Thomas, BayPine's Managing Director, underscores the importance of digital enablement in differentiating and gaining competitive advantage in the rapidly evolving insurance industry.
Relation's CEO Tim Hall emphasized that the partnership with BayPine will further launch the company into new domains and amplify its service capabilities. BayPine’s backing will support continued investment in both personnel and technology infrastructure. Hall also noted the firm’s ongoing success in tailoring solutions to client needs and expressed gratitude to Aquiline for its instrumental role in Relation's growth.
