Inszone Insurance Services acquires Mena Insurance Agency, Inc.

Inszone Insurance Services has expanded its national footprint with the acquisition of Mena Insurance Agency, Inc., an independent firm based in Polk County, Arkansas. This move integrates Mena Insurance's commercial, personal, and benefits portfolio into Inszone's broader operations. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in 1911 by H.G. McLafferty, Mena Insurance has maintained continuous operations through various ownerships in the city of Mena. It is currently led by P.T. Plunkett, who has cultivated the agency's growth through community referrals, without traditional advertising. The firm employs a seven-person team boasting over 150 years of combined industry experience.

Plunkett cited cultural compatibility as the key reason for merging with Inszone, emphasizing shared service-oriented values and community engagement over mere financial considerations. Inszone CEO Chris Walters praised the agency’s commitment and noted that the acquisition of Mena Insurance allows Inszone to provide enhanced resources to sustain and grow its operations.

This acquisition is part of Inszone's broader expansion strategy. Recently, the firm has been actively increasing its geographical presence, acquiring agencies like Arnold & Smith in Washington and Insurance Resources Group in Kansas. These moves are part of a multistate roll-up strategy across various insurance lines, aimed at bolstering Inszone's presence nationwide.

Looking ahead, Inszone's integration of Mena Insurance is expected to leverage digital resources and address traditional underinsurance challenges, although any regulatory approvals or operational transitions have not been specified.
