MECH-I-TRONIC Acquires Apex Machine for €100M
MECH-I-TRONIC, a specialist in mechatronic solutions for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and packaging sectors, has expanded its footprint in the Americas through its acquisition of Apex Machine in the United States for €100 million, equivalent to approximately $108 million. This is part of a strategic initiative to broaden its market presence and enhance its industrial capabilities within the region.
Apex Machine, based in Fort Lauderdale, bolsters MECH-I-TRONIC’s offerings with its extensive experience in integrated solutions, ranging from pre-treatment, printing, and quality control to advanced automation and packaging systems primarily serving the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. With over 100 years of operational history, Apex generated over €20 million in revenue during 2025, indicating a strong foothold in the North American and European markets.
The acquisition is one half of MECH-I-TRONIC's recent strategic investments, which also include the purchase of RK Ferramentaria in Brazil. These moves highlight the group's commitment to expanding its influence in the Americas, aligning with its broader objective to achieve €500 million in revenue by 2028. Since 2021, MECH-I-TRONIC has accelerated its growth through six acquisitions and the integration of 15 companies across Europe and China, resulting in annual revenues of approximately €260 million.
Marco Giovannini, MECH-I-TRONIC's Founder and Chairman, emphasized these acquisitions as pivotal in solidifying the company’s presence in strategic markets and enhancing its value chain across advanced manufacturing processes. The company aims to leverage this expansion to continue its growth trajectory by tapping into new markets and global clientele, targeting further acquisitions in a fragmented sector.
