NRB Bearings Limited, a prominent player in the automotive and industrial bearings sector, has officially entered the aerospace components market through the acquisition of Mahant Tool Room's business. This strategic move involves Mahant Tool Room Private Limited, NRB's wholly owned subsidiary, acquiring the Bengaluru-based manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components for a reported ₹27.5 crore in cash. This acquisition is noteworthy as it marks NRB’s foray into the aerospace segment, diversifying its existing portfolio.

Mahant Tool Room has a well-established reputation for manufacturing high-precision components crucial for aerospace engine and fuel systems. The acquired business holds an order book valued over ₹25 crore, which not only provides NRB with an immediate scale and revenue stream but also enhances its capabilities in technology-intensive sectors. Notably, Mahant Tool Room has been recognized with HAL’s Best Performance Award, underscoring its technical expertise and efficient delivery.

The acquisition is aligned with NRB's broader strategy to diversify beyond automotive applications.
