Tactile Medical acquires LymphaTech Inc.

Tactile Systems Technology, Inc., a company specializing in medical technology for chronic conditions, has acquired LymphaTech Inc. for $6.8 million, with additional future payments contingent on achieving specific milestones. The acquisition enhances Tactile Medical's offerings in lymphedema treatment, integrating LymphaTech's advanced 3D measurement platform into its existing lineup of medical solutions.

LymphaTech, established in 2014, has developed a digital platform for precise body measurements related to lymphedema, a condition affecting the lymphatic system. Their handheld tool uses proprietary algorithms and mobile scanning to provide real-time, clinical-grade 3D models of body and limb fluid volumes. This technology replaces labor-intensive manual measurements, ensuring more accuracy and consistency. Beyond immediate measurement, it offers longitudinal tracking, helping healthcare providers monitor patients' conditions over time and improve the efficiency of therapy management.

The acquisition is strategic for Tactile Medical, signifying a shift towards becoming an integrated solutions leader within the lymphatic health sector. According to Sheri Dodd, CEO of Tactile Medical, the merger positions the company to support not only immediate patient care but also long-term therapeutic monitoring and engagement through platforms like Kylee™.
