Climb Channel Solutions acquires Interworks
Climb Global Solutions has acquired Interworks, a cloud distribution company based in Greece, for $9.4 million. This acquisition is aimed at expanding Climb's distribution footprint across Southeastern Europe, with Interworks' established network of over 600 cloud reseller and managed service provider (MSP) relationships enhancing Climb's presence in the region. The strategic move underscores Climb's efforts to strengthen its role within the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Distribution ecosystem in Europe.
The acquisition will integrate Interworks' operations with Climb's European subsidiary, Climb Channel Solutions, consolidating vendor relationships with prominent companies such as Acronis, Google, and Nord Security. Dale Foster, CEO of Climb, noted that the acquisition builds on a nearly decade-long collaboration with Interworks, reflecting alignment in culture, strategy, and partner focus. Interworks, led by managing director Stamatis Barbounakis, has crafted a partner-first cloud distribution model, offering local enablement and support across Southeast European markets, including Cyprus and Bulgaria.
For Climb, this acquisition enhances its strategic positioning in the cloud and software distribution landscape across Europe. By assimilating Interworks' network and capabilities, Climb seeks to broaden its vendor portfolio and solution offerings, potentially accelerating pan-European growth. The deal also bolsters Climb's European operation amid its target of achieving 12% EMEA growth through mergers and acquisitions.
This acquisition places Climb in a competitive stance within the cloud distribution sector, particularly as demand for cloud services and solutions continues to rise across Europe. By expanding its reseller base and securing additional vendor partnerships, Climb strengthens its market offering in comparison to other players keen on gaining a foothold in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Moving forward, the integration of Interworks into Climb's framework will be pivotal. This includes aligning operational processes and ensuring that the expanded resellers' network continues to receive robust support. As part of the agreement, Interworks' entire team will join Climb's European operations, which is critical to maintaining the continuity of its services and leveraging established local knowledge in the markets they serve.
