Wipro Infrastructure Engineering acquires Indeco Ind Spa
Wipro Hydraulics has entered into an agreement to acquire Italian company Indeco Ind Spa. The acquisition, for which financial details remain undisclosed, seeks to enhance Wipro's foothold in the construction, demolition, and recycling equipment sectors. This transaction is significant as both firms mark 50 years in engineering, showcasing a union of their respective expertise and market leadership.
Indeco is renowned for its hydraulic attachments used across various high-intensity sectors, while Wipro Hydraulics is a prominent manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders. By acquiring Indeco, Wipro aims to broaden its product offerings and extend its market reach internationally. The agreement is aligned with Pratik Kumar's, CEO of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, vision of strategic expansion into similar industry segments which fits within their broader growth objectives.
The acquisition is anticipated to bolster Wipro's product portfolio, particularly by integrating Indeco's hydraulic attachments with its existing hydraulic cylinder offerings. According to Sitaram Ganeshan, President of Wipro Hydraulics, this strategic addition will strengthen the company's value proposition and enhance its service capabilities across diverse geographies.
