Infoblox acquires Axur

Infoblox has acquired Brazilian cybersecurity firm Axur, adding external digital threat mitigation to its security offerings. The acquisition aims to bolster Infoblox’s capabilities in addressing threats such as phishing and brand impersonation outside traditional network boundaries. With this acquisition, Infoblox is launching Digital Risk Protection Services (DRPS) to expand its threat detection capabilities. DRPS utilizes multimodal AI to scan over 40 million URLs daily, identifying threats across websites, social media, mobile apps, and the dark web. The immediacy of the service is underscored by its integration with Infoblox Threat Defense, designed to block malicious destinations while takedown efforts are underway. This integration ensures that internal assets attempting to connect to compromised sources are quickly identified.

Scott Harrell, CEO of Infoblox, emphasized that the acquisition extends the company's leadership in preemptive security, focusing on dismantling malicious infrastructure before it can be weaponized against enterprises.
