Jollibee acquires All Day Fresh Co
Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) is enhancing its Asian market presence by acquiring All Day Fresh Co, the operator of the South Korean hot pot buffet chain Shabu All Day, for approximately $87 million. This acquisition is part of JFC’s strategy to expand its footprint in the region's restaurant sector, diversifying its offerings across different dining formats.
The transaction was executed via JFC's 70 percent-owned subsidiary, Jolli-K Co, marking a significant investment in the burgeoning South Korean dining market. Shabu All Day, established in 2014, has expanded to 169 locations across South Korea. This acquisition positions JFC to tap into the hot pot dining trend and complements its broad network of brands across various regions.
In tandem with its hot pot venture, JFC is set to expand its presence in the coffee segment by introducing Compose Coffee to the Philippines, leveraging a master franchise agreement under its Fresh N’ Famous Foods unit. As one of South Korea's key value-driven coffee chains with nearly 3,000 outlets, Compose Coffee offers JFC a scalable format to capture consumer demand for specialty coffee. JFC’s strategic entry into the Philippines' coffee market dovetails with its existing portfolio, which includes Highlands Coffee, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Milksha.
JFC's moves come against a backdrop of robust growth, with the company reporting record fourth-quarter systemwide sales of approximately $2.1 billion, a 12 percent year-on-year increase. The company's store network expanded by 5.9 percent in 2025, reaching 10,341 outlets globally. This expansion underscores JFC's ambition to solidify its market leadership, particularly in Asia, where it maintains a significant presence alongside operations in North America, China, and the EMEAA region.
Looking forward, these strategic acquisitions and expansions highlight JFC’s focus on broadening its consumer reach and diversifying its portfolio across both coffee and dining segments. The introduction of Compose Coffee in the Philippines is expected to begin later this year, expanding JFC's market penetration and providing potential synergies across its brand portfolio. As the company continues to grow, integrating these new assets effectively will be crucial for sustaining its momentum in the competitive landscape.
